Amir School of Medicine – 16 page brochure – 2025

Israel’s healthcare system stands at a crossroad. A critical doctor shortage, projected to increase by 2030, threatens the quality and accessibility of healthcare for all citizens. The needs of an aging population and increasing demand for specialized medical services, exacerbated by the regional conflict, have heightened this challenge, underscoring the pressing need for expanded healthcare infrastructure to safeguard the well-being of all.

The University of Haifa is poised to establish a new Medical School that will empower the next generation of Israel’s doctors to tackle the nation’s evolving healthcare challenges. Our 6-year program will equip physicians to thrive in the dynamic healthcare
landscape with a focus on four key pillars:

  • Better healthcare through diversity
  • Comprehensive clinical training across diverse healthcare settings
  • Personalized care
  • Cutting-edge medical technology and regenerative medicine

Herta and Paul Amir made a landmark gift of $50 million to name the school.
