My lab specializes in functional metabolomics, merging analytical chemistry and molecular biology to study the expression and function of molecules. We explore marine natural products, focusing on their diversity, distribution, and potential for drug discovery. Our research addresses what molecules are produced, their expression patterns, and their biological and ecological roles. Ultimately, we aim to leverage these findings for innovative drugs, bioremediation, or nutritional substitutes.
